Central Power Plant Turbine Replacement
SCOPE OF SERVICE: Director-level responsibility for the successful Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the Project from conception through completion. This project successfully-applied the EPC (Engineer, Procure, and Construct) delivery methodology, which had never been used before at Yale University, and as such, it first required the development and approval of entirely new Contract forms in close coordination with the Office of General Counsel.

DESCRIPTION: Replaced two outdated and inefficient gas turbine generators and heat recovery boilers at the historic Yale Central Power Plant with two new 8 MW natural gas combustion turbines and HRSG steam generating equipment, including all required ancillary equipment, air permitting and dynamic modeling required by the CT Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP)
